  1. The author has a peculiar writing style that grabs your attention and pulls you right into the story. The imagery is intense, as is much of the narrative, but there is a sense tranquility throughout and a beauty to the main relationships that warms the heart and waters the eyes. Though the main relationship is gay, the story is not about sex. I would recommend this to anyone that appreciates tales of love and fantasy. Rating: 5 / 5

  2. The main character in the book, Simon, pulled me into the story. His complete devotion to Phillip becomes evident early and once Phillip dies, Simon stumbles through life making choices that only drive him into a deeper despair. The book kept my attention and made me feel good at the same time. Really enjoyed the book Rating: 5 / 5
